A great way to keep an eye on the temperature of your grill or smoker is with a Tel-Tru thermometer. They’re widely known for making quality BBQ thermometers, but they weren’t in fact made for BBQ originally. Much like the offset smoker, they were taken from the oil and gas industry.

I sat down with Yvonne O’Brien from Tel-Tru to learn more about their path to BBQ and how they make thermometers for companies and consumers. Their latest thermometer has a black dial with glow lettering. The article is worth clicking into to look at that alone, it’s pretty cool.

Yeti made the jump into outdoor cooking this week with the release of a cast iron skillet. It’s pricey at $400, but it’s the most beautiful skillet you’ll ever see. Butter Pat Industries hand casts them for an incredibly smooth finish with no milling or grinding. It’s amazing workmanship that was inspired by skillets in the late 1800’s.

From quality to just expensive, the streetwear brand Supreme announced a new charcoal grill this week. It’s through a collaboration with Coleman, but it’s really a rebadged grill they sell in the Asian market. While I’m sure it sold out immediately when it was released, you used to be able to get it from Walmart for under $50.

While we’re in the heart of what’s known as grilling season, it turns out 38% of people in the US grill year round. This is from a report done by ButcherBox of a survey they did in the US. If you like grilling data like we do, this article is a can’t miss. Shoot me an email if you’d like to see the full dataset, as we couldn’t include it all.

Popular appliance company SharkNinja entered the outdoor cooking space late last year with the Ninja Woodfire Outdoor Grill – which we’re currently reviewing – and now they’ve released another outdoor product. They launched the Woodfire Outdoor Oven for pre-order, which has a lot of the functionality from the grill but in a larger package.

Grilla Grills has added to their modular outdoor kitchen line with the release of a built-in cabinet for their Primate gas grill. It features griddle storage underneath and a hidden grease catch. The stainless steel construction matches the rest of their outdoor kitchen products.

Finally, we reviewed the Gozney Roccbox pizza oven. It turned out to be our favorite small pizza oven with it’s features and refined look. It obviously turns out some great pizzas too!
