Camp Chef’s parent company, Revelyst, is making moves with their strategy and real estate footprint. In 2023 they announced their GEAR Up initiatives which included optimizing their locations.
The previous company that owned Revelyst’s Outdoor Performance brands (Vista Outdoor) largely grew through acquisition. As part of that, it meant that with brands they acquired they also acquired real estate with it, either through purchase or lease. One such acquisition was when they purchased Simms Fishing Products in the summer of 2022.
Simms was located in Bozeman, Montana, and after the acquisition, Vista Outdoor announced that they were going to headquarter their other similar brands their. Much has happened in the company since that was announced, but they are making use of the building in a similar fashion.
Revelyst just opened the Bozeman Innovation Center, which will serve as the headquarters for their Outdoor Performance brands including Simms Fishing Products, Bushnell, Blackhawk and Stone Glacier. In addition, it will provide sales, marketing, finance and R&D support for Camp Chef.

Camp Chef has had been headquartered in Utah since its founding. While it wasn’t announced that the headquarters is moving to the Bozeman facility, it’s unclear how moving core functions there will impact their headquarters.
