As smokeless fire pit companies have looked to expand their businesses many have moved into adjacent categories. A popular one has been in outdoor furniture that could be used for dining or sitting around a fire.
Solo Stove leaned into that with their acquisition of TerraFlame, which has since been divested. While the furniture they offer today looks great, they may be developing a new line that will set them apart from the competition.
This year has been return to innovation for Solo Stove with multiple new products and more on the way. Putting together government filings, they appear to have an outdoor furniture line coming called Solosnap.
We think it’s called that because it will be portable furniture that can be assembled without the use of tools. The flat-packed furniture will “snap” together. One patent they have filed is for a table with a tool free design.

The structure comes together potentially with various channels that can be slid together or brackets that snap together. It’s an innovative design that would create a very strong assembly.

What’s nice about furniture with the proposed design is it can be transported more easily. That can mean being taken to a park or campsite, but also just easily disassembled for storage.

Beyond just a regular looking table, Solo Stove also proposed more elaborate configurations. One idea is to have a center section that’s removeable to accommodate different fire features. These could leverage bio fuel, like the ones from TerraFlame.

Solo Stove also has a patent filing for a chair with similar design principles. It uses the same assembly mechanics and it’s a flat pack design.

Solo Stove Havn
Another adjacent product that Solo Stove appears to be working on is something called Havn. This one is a neat idea, but it’s a little further out of the box than Solosnap.
The description from the trademark filing is “Non-metal greenhouse frames; Greenhouses, transportable, not of metal; inflatable greenhouses”.
While it may or may not follow the same design idea of Solosnap, it’s similar in that it’s non-metal and transportable. I could see a good amount of cross-over interest from Solo Stove’s current products with a greenhouse product. I hope to see it come to production.
