In the outdoor cooking world brand ambassadors are a great way to market products. Done properly, the brands and the people they work with are a natural fit for each other. Solo Stove has followed this path and has announced partnerships with Ann Kim and Zachary Fowler as inaugural brand ambassadors.
Ann Kim
Ann Kim is a James Beard Award-winning chef that’s well known in Minneapolis. While she has multiple restaurants, her most distinctive is Young Joni, which serves pizza and other wood-fired dishes inspired by her Korean heritage.
Fan’s of the fantastic Netflix docuseries Chef’s Table will recognize her from the seventh season of the series. Ann Kim has studied pizza making, and her restaurant Pizzeria Lola has earned a bunch of accolades. Her Chef’s Table episode is focused on pizza.
Naturally, Ann Kim will continue to introduce the world to the Pi Pizza Oven. Solo Stove released the oven in 2022 and added to the line last year with the Pi Prime.
Zachary Fowler
While Solo Stove has expanded into pizza ovens, their roots lie with fire pits and camp stoves, which are great for heat and for cooking. That’s were Zachary Fowler comes in. He’s an outdoorsman who won History Channel’s show Alone, where he survived for 87 days in the harsh terrain of Patagonia.
Building off that experience, he started a YouTube channel to share his appreciation and knowledge with viewers of his videos. He’s developed a large following, and currently has 1.5 million subscribers to his channel. He’s a great fit to be an ambassador for Solo Stove’s smokeless fire pit and fire pit grill accessories.
Brand ambassadors are people you can point to and say, ‘That’s what our brand stands for. We appreciate and embrace diverse takes of our brand. Ann and Zachary contribute totally unique backgrounds, but what they have in common is a love of the outdoors, fire, food, togetherness, and turning good moments into lasting memories.
