Ooni Partners on Sustainable Agriculture and Bourbon Barrel Honey

While Ooni is known for making quality pizza ovens, they also make some great consumables. Their frozen dough balls are our go-to for speeding up the pizza making process. They’ve continued to expand their consumable offerings with a pair of partnerships.

ADM Partnership

Between being a certified B Corp and being partnering with 1% for the Planet, Ooni has focused on using their brand to be a positive influence on the world. Their latest partnership is with ADM on flour that is produced using regenerative agriculture practices.

Regenerative agriculture focuses on protecting and improving soil health, biodiversity, climate, and water resources. It ensures that the farm is sustainable, rather than just stripping the land of natural resources.

We are thrilled to be working with Ooni, a company that shares our vision for a more sustainable food supply chain and an unwavering commitment to quality. ADM’s distinctive position spanning the wheat to flour value chain in the UK gives us an opportunity to help minimise environmental impact from farm to customer. We’re proud of our global regenerative agriculture efforts, which expanded to more than 2.8 million acres in 2023, and we’re excited to work with great partners like Ooni to bring the value chain together to deliver the benefits of this important work.

The new line of flour will be available through Ooni’s UK website and select retailers. It’s a product that is right inline with what Ooni stand for as a company.

Collaborating with ADM helps Ooni in our mission to make it easier than ever for home pizza makers to get the ingredients they need to make awesome pizza, while also respecting and protecting our planet. As part of our commitment to becoming a regenerative business, Ooni Type ’00’ pizza flour will be produced in British mills using only electricity from renewable sources. We are also working with farms that use a range of  regenerative farming practices. This partnership is more than just flour; it’s about how we’re committed to making a positive impact on the environment and helping meet our customers’ needs with the highest quality ingredients

Four Roses Partnership

For summer mixed drinks, or a delicious pizza drizzle, Ooni is partnering with popular bourbon brand, Four Roses, to make Ooni & Four Roses Bourbon Barrel Aged Honey. The honey was crafted with Bohman Bee Company, who specialize in creating local raw honey.

The honey was then aged in barrels that were used for making Small Batch Bourbon. To preserve the bourbon flavor, the barrels weren’t rinsed after the bourbon was dumped. This resulted in a complex flavor profile for the honey with tasting notes of ripened red berries and dried spices.

At Ooni, we make high-quality, premium products that are both accessible and versatile, so creating a product with a like-minded brand such as Four Roses was an easy decision. It doesn’t get much better than pizza and cocktails with your friends and family. We love working with brands that think a little differently and we’re super excited to see how creative our community can get with this complex, bourbon barrel-aged honey – both on their bakes and in their cocktail shakers!

I’m big into whiskies and bourbons alike. In fact, Four Roses has been my go-to bourbon to make an Old Fashioned ever since I visited the distillery in 2018. Being able to combine my love of whiskey and pizza by drizzling on this incredible bourbon honey is just awesome.

You can buy 10-ounce bottles of Ooni & Four Roses Bourbon Barrel Aged Honey on Ooni’s website for $16 (check price). For anyone heading to Kentucky this summer, you can also buy the honey at the Four Roses Distiller Visitor Center in Lawrenceburn, KY.
