Yeti has been entrenched in outdoor living but they only recently expanded into outdoor cooking. They acquired the high-end cast iron company Butter Pat Industries in 2024 to make the leap.
They first came out with cast iron cookware for campfire cooking. Last fall they jumped into carbon steel cookware when they released a 10″ pan for indoor or outdoor use.
They’ve now added to that line-up with a 12″ carbon steel pan. What’s most surprising about it is it’s not too much more expensive other quality carbon steel pans.
With Yeti you usually expect to pay quite a bit of premium. The Carbon Steel Pan 10 retails for $150 (check price) while the Carbon Steel Pan 12 retails for $180 (check price).
Yeti’s carbon steel pans come pre-seasoned, and they’re nitrided during production for durability and rust resistance. The handle has an ergonomic design for comfort while cooking.
The carbon steel pans are a nice addition to Yeti’s cookware line-up. Cast iron is great for durability and heat retention but it takes more care and it’s heavy to use.
Carbon steel is much thinner, so it doesn’t retain heat as well, but it heats quicker and is easier to maneuver. It also carries a much more approachable price tag than Yeti’s premium cast iron cookware.
