Pit Boss is growing their brand in the US this year through new marketing partnerships and getting their products in front of new consumers. In the UK they’re also making a big push by bringing over a bunch of new grills.
Onyx Edition Grills
The Onyx Edition grills first debuted in the US market in 2023. They have a unique look with a matte black finish and small details that make them stand out. That’s obviously ignoring the flavorful food they produce.
Pit Boss is bringing four Onyx Edition grills to the UK market. They released the Classic Onyx Edition that retails for £649 and has the main features you’d want in a pellet grill like a digital controller and the famous Flame Broiler lever.
For a bigger pellet grill, they released the Austin XL Onyx Edition that retails for £749. It’s similar to the Classic, but has 6,503 cm² of cooking space, so it will feed a crowd.
I’m always jealous when other markets get grills that they don’t sell, and that’s the other two Onyx grills. The first is an Onyx Edition of their Sierra griddle.
It’s different from other griddles because it features a non-stick cooktop. I’ve cooked with a similar 2-burner griddle from Pit Boss and liked the easy clean-up. It also can be removed from the cart to take it with you.
The other grill that I can’t get my hands on is the Lexington Charcoal Onyx Edition. I’ve reviewed the Lexington pellet grill, and this is just like that, except Pit Boss ditched the pellet hopper, added a vent, and made it a charcoal grill.
Pit Boss Titan Competition
I saved the best for the last. Pit Boss just released the Titan Competition Series in the UK market.
Pit Boss offers a bunch of different pellet grills, but this one could be my favorite. It has all the latest pellet grill tech. It has a touchscreen controller, it wirelessly connects to your phone, offers quick heating, and has a removable burn pot for easy cleaning.
It also has some features that are unique to this grill compared to others on the market. It has the option to load different types of pellets with a divider in-between them. For space management, it has a smart rack system.
When it comes to cooking capacity it has a ton of that. It features 10,474 square cm of space with a massive 18kg pellet hopper.
The retail price for the Titan is £1,999, and it can be found at select BBQ retailers.
