Nexgrill Goes Analog With Their New Oakford Pellet Grills

Nexgrill has found success with their Oakford smoker line since it’s launch two years ago. They added to it last year and have continued to build it this year with two new smokers.

Do the new smokers have the latest WiFi connected tech around? Nope! Nexgrill went the other way and focused on going back to the basics for a simpler and more affordable experience. The two new Oakford grills have analog controllers.

Our goal with the new Oakford Pellet Grill Smokers is to make smoking accessible, easy and fun for grilling enthusiasts. We recognize that smart technology can be extremely useful in many types of grills, as seen in our original Oakfords. With our new models, we’re providing an alternative to consumers for a simple, enjoyable, and unplugged grilling experience.

Ramsay Hawfield, Vice President of Marketing at Nexgrill

The new Oakford models come in two different sizes. The 28A that has a 28-inch cooking chamber with 715 square inches of cooking area, and the 36A which has a 36-inch cooking chamber with 930 square inches of cooking area.

The analog models are cheaper and bigger than their connected brethren. While the 36A isn’t for sale yet, the 28A retails for $299 (check price) exclusively at Home Depot.

Features and Specs

  • 22 lb hopper with a viewing window to easily know your pellet level

Conclusion

The two new Oakford pellet grills are great for anyone that doesn’t want to mess with apps, or that wants a cheap intro to pellet grills. For those that can stretch their budget a little bit, we reviewed and really liked the connected Oakford grills. Our money would probably go to the connected grills, but it all comes down to budget and preference.
