YETI jumped into cooking and outdoor cooking when they released cast iron cookware, and subsequently, acquired a cast iron manufacturer. They’ve since been expanding into lighter carbon steel cookware. They released a set of pans to start, and now they’ve launched even more carbon steel products.
Griddle
Built to cook indoors or outdoors, YETI released a carbon steel griddle. It retails for $200 (check price), and features some smooth looking design. It has angled corners to help manage your food and grills, with the YETI logo pressed in the top of it.
The griddle is large at 12″ by 22″, so it’s big enough fit quite a bit of food. They also advertise that with the size it can cook in two zones.
The carbon steel is nitrided, which is a heat treatment that adds durability to the outer layer of steel. It also comes pre-seasoned, which saves the consumer time and effort when they take it out of the box and adds non-stick properties.
Griddle Press
To go with the new griddle, YETI also released a new griddle press. It retails for $75 (check price), which is pretty pricey for a griddle press but the going rate for a quality stainless steel model.
This one will last forever, weighing in at 2.75 lbs of pure stainless steel. The heft will helps get a good crust on food and will keep you from bending your spatulas when you’re trying to use them as a press.
Outdoor Cookware Expansion
YETI has been quietly building a comprehensive outdoor cookware line. They are now up to eleven different cookware products that are made with durability in mind for the outdoors.
Today, we innovate across 4 platforms: bottles and jugs, cups, mugs and tumblers, tableware, coffeeware, barware and containers; and finally, cookware…
…We also advanced our lineup through early limited release carbon steel cookware and grew our offering in vacuum sealed food jars and bowls. We have additional innovation waves planned for 2026, supporting the acceleration we expect during the year. These initiatives create broader uses for consumers, expanding our addressable market beyond traditional Drinkware.
Matt Reintjes, President and CEO of YETI – Q4 2025 Earnings Call
YETI aims to have more touchpoints with the consumer throughout the day and cookware is one of the ways they’re doing it. The angle they’re coming from is a little bit unique too.
On the more premium end, I wouldn’t say there is a cookware brand that’s also thought of as an outdoor brand. Made In and All-Clad are both premium cookware brands with some nice outdoor products, but they are thought of for the kitchen first. Lodge is pretty entrenched with cast iron specifically but they also are on the less expensive end.
That gives an opportunity for a company like YETI to try to be the brand synonymous with outdoor cookware. I think they have enough brand equity to pull it off.
