Vista Outdoor CEO Steps Down, Co-CEO’s Appointed

On the heels of receiving an unsolicited merger offer, the interim CEO of Camp Chef parent, Vista Outdoor, has resigned. Gary McArthur had taken over as interim CEO to see Vista through its split in two companies.

In conjunction with Gary McArthur stepping down, the CEOs of the Sporting Products and Outdoor Products (Revelyst) divisions will take over as Co-CEOs of Vista Outdoor. Eric Nyman took over as the CEO of Revelyst in August coming from Hasbro. Neither CEO will receive in increase in compensation for the new roles.

In other leadership updates, interim CFO Andrew Keegan has been named permanent CFO of Vista Outdoor until the split. At that point he’ll remain as CFO of Revelyst as previously planned.

Also in preparation of the split, the General Counsels (GC) of the two companies have been appointed to Co-GCs of Vista Outdoor. Jung Choi joined the Outdoor Products division in October of this year.
