Traeger build their brand, and much of the pellet grill category, with their premium priced products. They commanded higher average sales prices through innovative products and successful branding.
During 2025, Traeger saw success with products priced below $1,000. Despite their history being more on the premium end, they plan to pivot and bring more people into the Traegerhood at the price point they’re shopping at.
That’s why Traeger said on their last earnings call that they plan to release two sub-$1,000 products in Q2 of this year. Based on reading the tea leaves of public information, I’m going to speculate on what I think we’ll see.
The first product I’m guessing is the Westwood pellet grill. I wrote an article about this grill last summer, and I think we’ll see it released soon. The only updates from the previous article are that I think there will be a base version and an XL version, and I think it might carry a lower MSRP that I originally guessed.
It’s a great introductory pellet grill for the brand because even though the design is a little more stripped down than their other grills, it offers connected grilling. That’s key for getting consumers to fall in love with the brand.
Irontop Griddle
The other product that I think we’ll see released in Q2 is the Irontop griddle. I’ve been tracking this possible griddle release, and I think it will be a solid offering for the brand.
Traeger has had success with their Flatrock griddle, and much like the Westwood, the Irontop is a more basic version at an affordable price point.

I think it will be a 2-burner griddle that will come in a hair under $500. That’s a really competitive price point but Traeger’s brand name should help them take some share.
The cooking area it offers is around 500 square inches, which is good for the average family size. It also has key Traeger features like the Pop-And-Lock accessory rail. It also is likely to have a hinged lid, wind guards, and a carbon steel top.
