Solo Stove expanded from fire pits earlier this year when they launched the Solo Stove Pi pizza oven. Now, they are making it easier to cook on with the ability to buy pizzeria-quality ingredients direct through them. Solo Stove’s Product Marketing Director had the following to say about the new products in a press release.

The creation of our Pi Supply line was driven by two key underlying themes: making pizza night easy and convenient for everyone and providing the highest quality of ingredients from brands that were previously only available to restaurants. We decided that if we are going to provide customers with Pi, a pizza oven that bakes pizzas as well as any pizzeria, then we should also provide access to restaurant-reserved ingredients. We are incredibly excited to launch our Pi Supply lineup of kits that live and breathe these themes, and we can’t wait for you to experience the convenience and savor the quality of artisan pizza at home.

Pizza Ingredient Delivery

Called Pi Supply, they sell Neapolitan pizza dough balls with the frequency of a single purchase or through a subscribe and save program at a 10% discount. The retail price for the pizza dough is $139.99 for 24 balls (check price) or $249.99 for 48 balls (check price). Be sure to click the links to check the price though, because Solo Stove is like Kohl’s stores, everything is always on sale. Similar to Ooni’s dough delivery program, the dough comes frozen and will last for 4 months.

In addition to selling dough, they also launched a whole Neapolitan Artisan Pizza box that includes the aforementioned dough, sauce, mozzarella and pepperoni all pre-portioned. This complete pizza kit is available for a retail price of $184.99 for a 12 pack (check price) or $349.99 for a 24 pack (check price).

Pizza Dough

Solo Stove is sourcing their dough from Patty’s Pizza for their delivery program. The dough is made with fresh yeast, and Caputo 00 Pizzaria flour. It’s portioned to bake 12-inch pizzas and flash frozen with no preservatives. You can thaw it on the countertop for 1-6 hours or thaw it in the refrigerator.

The dough tastes and performs great, we used it to test and review the Bertello pizza oven.

Sauce, Mozzarella and Pepperoni

Sauce

The sauce chosen for the box is Carmelina’s San Marzano tomato pizza sauce. The San Marzano tomatoes for the sauce are grown in soil enriched by Mount Vesuvius’ volcanic ash and Mediterranean air.

Mozzarella

The Solo Stove Pi Supply box comes with Losurdo’s mozzarella, which is made from 100% whole cow’s milk from upstate New York. Losurdo’s is dedicated to their Italian traditions that they’ve held over the 60 years they’ve been in business.

Pepperoni

The final ingredient in the box is pepperoni from Ezzo’s. They use no fillers and a 14-day drying process to make a great old world Italian pepperoni stick.
