Solo Brands’ Stock is Relisted and Will Trade Under a New Name

Let me get you up to speed on the stock for Solo Brands, the parent company of Solo Stove. Once they noted financial concerns with the future of their business, their stock cratered. When their stock traded below $1, they were given notice for being out of compliance with the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).

Then, tariffs were announced and their stock was hit even more to where is was trading under $0.10 a share. When that happened, trading was suspended of their stock on NYSE.

Since then, they appealed that decision, have released some innovation, restructured their debt, and did a reverse stock split. All that has significantly increased the price of their stock.

While Solo Brands was waiting for the results of their appeal, they received some great news today that the staff of NYSE Regulation has withdrawn its delisting determination. That means an appeal isn’t necessary, and trading can resume for their stock.

Following our previously announced refinancing on June 16th, our reinstatement on the NYSE marks another significant milestone for Solo Brands. We are entering an exciting new chapter driven by bold innovation and a commitment to delivering great products and unforgettable outdoor experiences, strengthened by closer connections with our consumers, retail partners, investors, and team members.

John Larson, Chief Executive Officer of Solo Brands

This is a big step for Solo Brands because by trading on the Exchange they have better access to liquidity. It also bring publicity and strength to their brand.

Although trading can resume, it doesn’t remove what Solo Brands has to do to cure being out of compliance. They must meet the following qualifications by August 25th, 2025.

  • Have a closing price of at least $1.00 of the last day of a calendar month
  • Have an average closing share price of at least $1.00 over the 30 trading-day period ending on the last trading day of the relevant month

With the reverse stock split that they performed, and their stock currently trading at $14.55 on the OTC market, it seems very possible that they’ll meet the criteria.

New Ticker Symbol

Beyond the big new of their suspension from trading lifted, Solo Brands also announced that they will be trading under a new stock symbol. Before, they traded on NYSE under the symbol DTC, which stood for Direct-to-Consumer.

They did this because they were a DTC brand, and that was their focus. Their company has changed quite a bit since their IPO and they’ve focused much more on wholesale channels to boost revenue.

Likely as a result of their changed focus, they’ll be trading under the symbol SBDS, presumably for Solo Brands. A new symbol might seem like a minor change, but it’s a big deal in the context of how different their brand is today than a few years ago. Trading under the new symbol will begin on July 24th, 2025.
