Pitts & Spitts Releases Pellet Grill and Offset Smoker Hybrid that Does it All

We went from having no pellet grill and wood smoker hybrids to having two on the market in the matter of a week. Texas based Pitts & Spitts released the Hybrid, which features a pellet grill on one side and a traditional offset smoker on the other, for a convenient way to cook without sacrificing smoke. If two methods of cooking aren’t enough, it even has a firebox with a charcoal grilling surface.

Pitts & Spitts originally sold the Hybrid on a limited basis in 2020, but now it’s available on their website and through authorized dealers. It combines their Maverick pellet grill with an offset fire box and a 24″ x 48″ barrel. For anyone intimidated by an offset or just to make operating it easier, the firebox has a gas assist.

Features

  • Retail price of $5,000 for the carbon steel model or $10,000 for the stainless steel model
  • 1,650 square inches of cooking area
  • Fully welded and constructed 3/16″, 10 gauge carbon steel and 1/4″ firebox
  • Signature roll top lid and a front shelf that’s made of 304 marine grade stainless steel
  • PID pellet controller that’s WiFi capable
  • Smart meat probe

For anyone not familiar with Pitts & Spitts, they’re based in Houston, TX and have been family owned and operated since 1983. They’re one of the only places to get an American made grill and they’re known for using heavy gauge steel and quality craftsmanship.

The Pitts & Spitts Hybrid does it all. You get the convenience of heat control from the pellet controller, the smoke from the offset and even the ability to sear with a charcoal grilling surface.

There’s so much innovation happening right now in the pellet grill space. With the Camp Chef Woodwind Pro hybrid being teased earlier this week and the Pitts & Spitts Hybrid being released, we’ll see if Oklahoma Joe’s follows suit with their hybrid.
