Kamado Joe Founder and Former CEO, Bobby Brennan, Joins Dominus Capital

Bobby Brennan founded Kamado Joe in 2008 with a focus on innovating the kamado style cooker. He led the company through its sale to Masterbuilt in 2018, which was a Dominus portfolio company.

Both Kamado Joe and Masterbuilt increased market share and were then sold to Middleby in December 2021 for $385 million, where they reside. The spirit of innovation that Bobby Brennan made synonymous with the brand is still alive at Kamado Joe, as they recently released the first phone controlled kamado grill.

While Dominus Capital no longer owns Kamado Joe, Bobby Brennan left a lasting impact, because they announced that he’ll be joining their team as an operating partner. He will work in the industrial manufacturing, consumer and value-add distribution sectors.

In addition to his experience founding and building Kamado Joe, Bobby Brennan brings over 15 years of manufacturing experience from GE Lighting, and an additional 5 years of experience with Siemens Residential Products Division.
