Gravity Smokers
Charcoal fed gravity smokers came onto the scene with Masterbuilt’s gravity series and more recently the Oklahoma Joe’s Tahoma. They’re simple to operate – you just light a fire under the full charcoal hopper, set a temperature on the controller, and a fan (with the help of gravity) does the rest for temperature control. It gives pellet grill simplicity with more smoke flavor from charcoal.

Kalamazoo took that same idea and put it in a luxury outdoor kitchen application. It’s a cabinet style smoker that has the charcoal hopper, controller and fan in a cabinet next to it for a clean look. The cabinet design also provides extra insulation for superior efficiency. 7 lbs of charcoal will last for 24 hours of smoking time at 225 degrees F.
