Vista Outdoor is the first to schedule earnings this cycle. They scheduled their release of Q3 earnings for fiscal year 2023 on Wednesday, February 1st, 2023. They’ll follow it with a conference call the following morning at 9 am EST.
We most recently heard from Vista Outdoor at an investor conference at the beginning of December. It sounded like the business was beginning to stabilize to pre-pandemic norms. They were seeing normalized rates for inbound freight and reasonable demand levels.
We hope to get an update on that as well as an update on how inflationary pressures are impacting their business. They noted they were seeing softening with entry level products.
We’ll also see if they have any updates on their upcoming business split. This calendar year they plan to split their business into two separate companies. One will hold their Shooting Sports segments, and the other will hold Outdoor Products businesses including Camp Chef.
