Solo Stove, the largest company in smokeless fire pits, has trademarked its Signature Flame. Their fire pits of all sizes do have unique burn aided by the increased airflow and the double burn from the heated air at the top of the fire pit.
They describe their Signature Flame as having the following characteristics.
- Iconic Flame Pattern – A distinctive “jet” design that sets Solo Stove apart and creates a stunning focal point for any outdoor gathering.
- Mesmerizing Vertical Vortex – A striking, torch-like flame that captures attention and sparks conversation, while delivering the warmth and crackling sound of burning wood that so many love about a real fire.
- Engineered Control – Precision airflow channels direct the flame upward for a cleaner, safer burn.
- Smokeless Performance – Secondary combustion eliminates smoke particles before they escape, so you enjoy the fire, not the fumes or smell.
- Warmth & Crackling Ambience – The comforting heat and natural crackling sound of burning wood enhance the sensory experience, capturing the timeless joy of gathering around a fire.
Solo Stove has continued releasing products with their Signature Flame this year. They released the Summit 24 fire pit, which has a built-in stand, and makes starting a fire even easier. They also have a new fire product coming out this Friday that we’ll cover when it’s released.
In conjunction with marketing their Signature Flame, Solo Stove is marketing the benefits of being outdoors in front of a fire pit. They teamed up with Jennifer Walsh, a leading neuroaesthetics and brain-nature expert who serves as a global speaker and faculty advisor to neuroscience departments at Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania.
A Solo Stove creates that natural nudge to put down the phone, look each other in the eye, and have real conversations. Just 40 seconds of looking at an open flame relaxes the prefrontal cortex and puts you in a state of utter calm. When families gather around a Solo Stove outside, three things happen for children: they become more compassionate, more empathetic, and they want to learn more.
Jennifer Walsh
At Solo Stove, we’ve always believed our fire pits provide a unique experience that sparks family bonding, meaningful conversations, and moments of calm in a world overwhelmed by technology. Jennifer Walsh’s research brings powerful validation to what our Solo community has felt for years and encourages ‘more green time and less screen time’ right in people’s backyards.
Liz Vanzura, CMO of Solo Brands
Under Liz Vanzura, Solo Brands’ new CMO, you can see a pivot in the marketing and messaging at Solo Stove. It used to be centered around the smokeless feature and why that’s better than a traditional fire pit.
Now, they seem to be marketing the benefits of fire pits in general. Along with that are the features of why you should buy a Solo Stove, but it’s centered more around the activity than the product.
You can see that with their Signature Flame announcement, but also on their previous activation in NYC. They created a mock backyard in the busy city to show the importance of disconnecting with electronics and spending time with family and friends around a bonfire. They dubbed the phrase “less screentime and more greentime”, which they’ve continued here with the Signature Flame ad.
