Solo Stove has returned their focus on innovation this year as they’re right-sizing their company. They have already released some new products and will have two more yet in 2026.

Solo Stove had a big part in building the smokeless fire pit category, and they may be developing a product that’s an extension of that. They are developing a portable fireplace that leverages the features used on their fire pits.

We’ve seen more companies release outdoor fireplaces in recent years. According to the possibilities described in a new patent, the one from Solo Stove is a little different.

Solo Stove’s patent has an example of the design above, and a modular design where the chimney portion separates from the bottom portion. This would make the fireplace more portable and possibly give the option to use it as a fire pit or fireplace.

Outdoor fireplaces that we’ve seen released from other companies usually follow the classic Chiminea style. They also don’t have a smokeless design, instead relying on taller chimneys.

Smokeless Fire Pit Features

You can see from the design that many of the features from Solo Stove’s fire pits make their way to the fireplace. It’s a design that has intake holes on the bottom, a dual-walled cylinder for air, and holes in the inner-wall at the top for the efficient dual-burn.

It also features a removeable ash pan that Solo Stove released with their 2.0 fire pit models. That makes it much easier to clean between uses.

When Will it Be Released

Solo Stove has a pretty good track record of releasing products that pop up in their patents, but it’s purely speculation at this point if or when the fireplace will be released. We do know that they’ve committed to releasing two new products this year, and they’ll continue releasing new products into 2026.

Given the patents that are out there from the company, and the adjacency to their current products, I’d speculate that we will see this fireplace later this year or early next.
