US-made grill company, Pitts & Spitts, has an exciting new bit of technology kit for their Maverick pellet grills. They released a capacitive touchscreen controller that, like their grills, is also made in the USA.
The new screen has a neat look to it that makes the grills even easier to control. Plus, it adds additional functionality like four temperature probe ports, integrated graphing, and different control modes.
The best part is it’s backwards compatible. That means not only can you buy this when you buy a new Maverick, you can also buy it for your existing maverick.
Pitts & Spitts makes their grills to last a super long time, so it’s great that they are releasing tech that you can get to keep your grill up-to-date. It makes it so their customers don’t need to buy a whole new grill when the grill itself still has many years left on it, which saves money and reduces waste.
The new controller retails for $449.99 (check price), but it also comes with WiFi and Bluetooth. When you buy a new Maverick, the WiFi module costs $174.99, so you’re really paying an incremental $275. The touchscreen controller works with the Pitts & Spitts app allowing you to operate and monitor your pellet grill from anywhere.
