Made In is most known for their popular high quality cookware. I’ve used their enameled cast iron cookware before and it’s top notch. That’s why it’s extra exciting that they’ve come out with a new grill.
All Texas
The Made In Grill is the first grill from the Austin, Texas based company. It follows the same design principles as their other products, that means high quality materials, and a unique design.
To make the grill, they partnered with fellow Texas based company, Circle J. They’re a fabricator that’s been in business for over twenty years.
Rather than explain the fabrication process, Made In put together this cool video about the design and partnering with Circle J.
Made In sent me a grill to test out, and while I’ve only taken it out of the box, I can say first hand that the quality is really nice. I’ll have a full review coming soon after I get a chance to use it.

Construction
The grill is made from stainless steel and carbon steel. Stainless is used in areas where durability is most important, like the cooking grates and the ash tray. The body of the grill is made from carbon steel that’s painted, which helps keep the weight down.
Design
From first glance, the Made In Grill is a hibachi style grill that’s perfect for high heat cooking. The adjustable charcoal tray makes it more versatile though for other cooking styles.
On most portable grills, there’s no adjustment for the charcoal tray, it’s fixed. The adjustment on the Made In Grill reminds me of a much nicer version of the grill you’d find at a park.
Those usually have an adjustable grill height, which follows the same principal. I mean that with great nostalgia too.
To allow you to adjust the charcoal height, even when it’s hot, the handles on the sides are hollow and wrapped in silicone. That’s not where the thought-out design ends either.
The stainless cooking grate can fold into the body of the grill to make room to cook with a griddle. You can buy the griddle accessory separately, and it fits perfectly on the grill.
