Camp Chef to Release Gridiron 36″ Griddle with a Grease Trough

Camp Chef is going to be joining the premium griddle segment. They’ve set the stage to release the Gridiron, with some innovative new features for griddles.

The Gridiron has a sleek look to it that stands out from their previous griddles. It’s all black and comes with a lid that’s dual walled. The burners are stainless steel and produce 12,000 BTUs each. They have electronic ignition to make sure they light easily.

Grease Trough

The grease management system is where the Gridiron really stands out. While most large griddles have a hole where you push grease into, the Gridiron has a trough section above it.

This helps keep grease from pooling in the cooking area and drains into the grease management. On the Gridiron it doesn’t just drain into a little pan either, it has a bucket with a liner for easy cleaning.

Magnetic Accessories

To make your prep area more manageable, the Gridiron uses a magnetic accessory system. You can easily stick things like a paper towel roll holder, griddle tools, and sauce bottles onto the front of the side shelves.

Release Information

If you’re eager to get your hands on this new grill, you likely won’t have to wait long. It should be released on May 20th. Some Canadian retailers have it available for pre-order for around $900 to $1,000, while a US retailer has it listed for about $500. We’ll see where the price ends-up at release.
