He’ll be a Corporate Chef & Culinary Ambassador for the company, collaborating on recipe development, live and virtual cooking demonstrations, brand content creation, and consumer events across the product portfolio.

Johan Magnusson has built a following in the outdoor cooking world with his cooking classes, rubs and cookbook. In his new role with AMD Direct he’ll develop original recipes, create short-form video content, and produce educational articles. He’ll also attend trade shows and dealer events.

Johan Magnusson moved to Arizona from Malmö, Sweden about 20 years ago. He became a judge for BBQ competitions and started competing himself with the team he started, Big Swede BBQ.

Today, he focuses more on cooking classes and demonstrations. He produces a full-line of rubs that he sells here in the USA and at some retailers back in Sweden.
