A New Indoor Smoker is Being Released Through Kickstarter

GE released the Profile Smart Indoor Smoker almost two years ago to bring smoking meat inside for convenience. It used a pellets to smoke meat and coupled with an air filtration exhaust system to keep your kitchen from smelling like a smoker.

It was a brand new category of barbecue cookers, and now another entrant is coming to market. Livwell Brands is going to release SmoqeX through Kickstarter, another indoor pellet smoker.

The details are still pretty thin on the SmoqeX, but it appears pretty similar in function to the GE smoker. It does appear to have more features though, and visually it looks like it has a smaller footprint.

SmoqeX has 10+ smoking presets including cold smoking, which is a nice addition. It also has more functions than just smoking.

The extra functions are key because it’s hard to give up counter space for a dedicated smoker. SmoqeX can perform eight cooking functions including air fry, sear, bake, and dehydrate.

Specs aren’t given on the website, and the Kickstarter hasn’t started, but I’m interested to see the temperature range for searing and grilling. I’m also curious in finding out how much food it can hold.

We’ll stay tuned for the details, but they’ll logically be benchmarked against the GE model. I have no experience with Livwell or SmoqeX, so once the Kickstarter launches, I can’t comment on the trustworthiness of the product or company.
