Revelyst, the parent company of Camp Chef, has continued to evolve as a company. Since being acquired by an investment firm, they’ve continued on their strategy to reduce costs, most recently consolidating their locations.
They’ve now made a major change in the executive leadership ranks. They’ve announced that they’ve hired a new CFO to succeed Andy Keegan.
As part of a planned CFO transition, they’ve appointed Naren Varatharajah to the role. He comes to Revelyst from VF Corp.
Naren’s experience in the outdoor industry, financial acumen and strong cultural fit with Revelyst made him the perfect candidate to complete our CFO transition. With a results-oriented and purpose-led approach, Naren is a seasoned global finance executive whose leadership spans North America, Europe and Asia Pacific, including Greater China. Naren’s background is ideally suited to helping Revelyst continue our journey to become the world’s most admired sports technology and outdoor gear company. We are thrilled to welcome him to Team Revelyst.
Eric Nyman, CEO, Revelyst
Naren Varatharajah spent over 20 years with VF Corp, most recently leading their Transformation Office. His previous experience with the company includes various finance roles including being a brand CFO and a regional CFO.
VF Corp has some similarities to Revelyst. They are a house of brands with a similar consumer and some overlapping strategy. Notably, VF Corp owns The North Face, Vans, and Jansport.
I’m honored to join Revelyst during this pivotal moment in its journey. I am excited to work alongside Eric and the entire leadership team to strengthen our financial strategy and accelerate value creation. Revelyst’s dynamic portfolio of brands and forward-thinking vision offer tremendous opportunities, and I’m committed to unlocking untapped potential and driving smart growth across our business.
Naren Varatharajah, CFO, Revelyst
The appointment to CFO is effective August 4th, and Naren will be based in the Irivine, CA facility. Andy Keegan is stepping down after 13 years with Revelyst and its successor companies. He’ll remain with the company through the month of August to ensure a smooth transition.
Andy Keegan was originally named interim CFO of Vista Outdoor in the fall of 2022. He remained on through the split of the company in two and the eventual sale.
