TIKI Brand is always finding new and innovative ways to help you enjoy your outdoor living space. Of course, they have the torches that everyone knows of, but they also make some of my favorite fire pits, and a great outdoor fireplace.
Nothing ruins spending time in the backyard faster than mosquitoes, and TIKI has solutions for that too. They previously innovated with some mosquito-fighting string lights, but their new product takes that a step further.
They’ve launched BiteFighter Plug & Repel, which takes the repelling power of their string lights, and brings it to whatever string lights you’re using. You don’t have to get a whole new system, just swap out the bulbs for TIKI’s special BiteFighter bulbs.
Plug & Repel adds mosquito protection to outdoor spaces without asking people to rearrange how they gather, eat or spend time together. We focused on making that protection affordable and easy to add, so it integrates into setups people already have and feels intentional, not intrusive.

TIKI estimates that 60 million U.S. households already own string lights. This is a great solution to save money and use what you already have.
They fit into an E26 bulb, which is a pretty standard size, and you can add one every 12 feet on the same set of string lights. The BiteFighter Plug & Repel will give 110 square feet of protection, and it’s an invisible, odor free barrier.
This is a system designed around real outdoor behavior. It lets people spend less time thinking about mosquito repellents and more time enjoying their outdoor spaces, knowing protection is already in place.

Each Plug & Repel device is $24.99 (check price) and includes a 12-hour pod. You can buy 48-hour replacement pods for $9.99 each.
You’ll want to run these for 45 minutes prior to hanging out in your outdoor space to give them time to work. That creates a bug barrier in the area.
Here in Michigan the mosquitoes can get pretty crazy, so I’m on board with anything to help with those blood suckers. I’m glad that TIKI is fighting the good fight to make it easier to spend more time outside.
