Range Outdoor Living was created as a more premium outdoor kitchen brand by Backyard Discovery. Their value proposition is being a more approachable consumer option in terms of price and by selling online through stores like Home Depot and Lowe’s.
Creating an outdoor kitchen shouldn’t have to become a construction project. We’re continuing to look at every part of the experience, from the materials and appliances we use to how the kitchen gets to a homeowner’s backyard, and find ways to make premium outdoor living more attainable and easier to enjoy.

The brand was launched last year at the International Builders Show and named a Best of IBS Awards finalist. The brand has continued to grow, and their latest product option is something we’re seeing more of in outdoor kitchens.
You can now get a stainless steel griddle in all Range Outdoor’s kitchen configurations. Blackstone built the growing griddle category, and luxury brands are now catching on.
Our goal has always been to make a premium outdoor kitchen easier to own and enjoy. Adding griddles across the lineup gives homeowners another way to make these spaces their own. We saw the demand immediately with our first release, and now we’re able to make that option available across every kitchen we build.

The griddle top is made from food-grade 304 stainless steel and is 8 mm thick for even heating and heat retention. Stainless steel is a popular griddle top option in outdoor kitchens because of its durability a less care required. There’s a reason that commercial kitchens use stainless steel griddles.
Outdoor kitchens should be built for the realities of being outdoors. We chose 304 stainless steel because homeowners shouldn’t have to constantly worry about seasoning a cooking surface or protecting it from rust. It’s the kind of material choice that may not be the first thing someone notices, but it makes a real difference in how the kitchen performs and holds up over time.

Edgemont Cove Outdoor Kitchen
For the ultimate in outdoor cooking options, Range Outdoor Living launched the Edgement Cove Curved Outdoor Kitchen. It has a 38-inch professional-grade grill, 32-inch artisan pizza oven and 32-inch stainless steel flat-top griddle. To hold all of that cooking the Edgemont is 18 feet long.
On most of our kitchens, you can choose the two cooking appliances that best fit the way you entertain, and the price stays the same whichever way you go. Edgemont Cove is for the homeowner who doesn’t want to choose. The grill, griddle and pizza oven are all there, in a space that’s designed from the beginning to work together.

The Edgemont does more than just cook too, it also has an outdoor-rated refrigerator and an integrated stowaway sink. The counter is 12 feet of engineered stone. Like other Range Outdoor kitchens, it’s made from galvanized steel and has features like soft-close. The outdoor kitchen retails for $14,999 and ships for free nationwide.
