One of the biggest names in pellet grills is partnering with one of the biggest grill retailers for unforgettable fan experiences in conjunction with The Andy’s Frozen Custard 300 race this weekend. Pit Boss and Academy are bringing lots of grilling and NASCAR interactions ahead of the race and at the track.

For the Pit Boss and Academy Sports + Outdoors collaboration, Harrison Burton will pilot the No. 24 Pit Boss X Academy Sports Toyota Supra in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race, The Andy’s Frozen Custard 300, on Saturday, May 2, at Texas Motor Speedway. The car sponsorship fits nicely with both Pit Boss and Academy because of their focus on outdoor lifestyle.
Fan Activations
The interactive fan activations started today in the lead-up to the race. Academy had a fan event at their Fort Worth location on Tarrant Parkway. It had a show car on display, the grills were going, and drivers Harrison Burton and Jeb Burton were there signing autographs.

Pit Boss works with influencers throughout the outdoor living space, so Duck Dynasty’s Justin Martin also made an appearance. There also were some giveaways at the even.
At the race this weekend there will also be more fan experiences. I don’t know that there’s a better weekend than eating barbecue and watching racing.

If you can’t make it to race day and you missed the event at Academy, Pit Boss and Academy are celebrating the NASCAR partnership in another way. The Pit Boss Navigator 1000 pellet grill will have promotional pricing at Academy through the month of May.
