FIREDISC Cookers Retains Advisor for Strategic Equity Raise

FIREDISC Cookers is a Texas brand that was created to make it easier to cook at tailgate, camps, or when you’re just away from home. They’re versatile cookers though, so they make just as much sense for cooking in the backyard.

They are a modern take on the discada, disco, or plow disc cooker from South Texas. While the FIREDISC looks different than other cookers, the idea is simple and makes a lot of sense. It’s big high carbon steel bowl, much like a wok, with a propane burner underneath.

This all started around a campfire. We built a better way to cook outdoors.

Obviously using it as a griddle, or a big pan, is the first thing that comes to mind. It’s well suited for that, but it also can be used to cook in other ways. You can fill it with oil and deep fry, or with an accessory, you can use it to steam. The versatility is what makes it great to cook on when you’re away from home.

All parts of it break down when you’re done using it, so it’s really easy to transport. That’s essential for any cooker that you’re going to use away from home. Plus, they made it counter height, which makes it more enjoyable to cook with than crouching over a fire pit.

In addition to the cooker itself, they have a full line of accessories. They have everything from cooking tools to covers, lids, and wind guards.

Equity Raise

FIREDISC was founded in 2010 by Texas brothers Griff Jaggard and Hunter Jaggard. Over the past 15 years they’ve built a dedicated following for the product and have picked-up some retail partners along the way. Most notably, they have partnered with Ace Hardware.

The brothers are ready to take their company to the next level and have appointed Rockcliffe Capital as exclusive advisor to lead a strategic equity raise. They are raising capital to invest in retail distribution, U.S. manufacturing, and product innovation.

This raise will help us grow our family of customers and bring FIREDISC to more outdoor kitchens across North America.

What FIREDISC has going for them to go to market is they are an established brand in a niche area of outdoor cooking. They view their differentiators as follows.

  • Performance-first: Built with powerful gas burners, no moving parts, and a durable disk design
  • Portable design: Collapsible, rugged, and ready for anything-from overlanding to backyard BBQs
  • Complete ecosystem: Full line of grill accessories, propane regulators, and branded gear
  • Retail-ready: Proven in e-commerce and expanding fast with national retail distribution
  • Engaged community: Thousands of 5-star reviews and a growing library of user-generated Recipes

FIREDISC has created something special. It’s more than a cooker-it’s a movement with a cult-like following and massive growth potential.

There’s no getting over that all areas of outdoor cooking are severely depressed. The whole industry has felt like it’s been at a bottom for three years now. With that also comes opportunity.

There could be quite a bit of upside for any investor that buys into the story. The dream is obviously that FIREDISC will be the next Blackstone, establishing and owning a new market segment. Even if it doesn’t get to that level though, there are plenty of consumer brands that have been quite successful from being the go-to product within a dedicated niche.
