Camp Chef replaced their griddles with the Gridiron griddle last year. It was a big upgrade over their previous griddles bot in terms of styling and features. The most standout feature from it is the grease trough in the front for easy grease management.
They expanded the Gridiron line recently with a smaller tailgate version. Now, they’ve added the Gridiron Pro, which is at the top of the line with a major feature that distinguishes it from the other models.
Sidekick Burner
The big upgrade that the Pro model got is a Sidekick Burner. It’s a side burner, like you find on gas grills, and it adds versatility to what you can cook with the griddle.

It’s not just limited to being used like a conventional gas burner though, it also works with 14″ accessories from Camp Stove. That means you can add on a Pizza Oven or a Grill Box to your griddle for even more cooking possibilities.

Pre-Seasoned Griddle Plate
Another great feature of the Gridiron Pro is the griddle plate comes pre-seasoned. That means it’s ready to cook right out of the box.
Other griddle plates you have to spend quite a bit of time seasoning before you can even use them, and even then the corners are often not seasoned. This griddle takes care of all of that for you.
