Big Green Egg’s annual EGGtoberfest returns this weekend to Gwinnett Field (outside of Atlanta). It’s a showcase of all the things that make the brand special, including the dedicated fans, and lots of great food.

This years’ EGGtoberfest looks to be the most organized, with expanded activities that add to the event. I first went to EGGtoberfest in 2023, and since then, Big Green Egg has gotten new leadership that has reinvigorated the iconic brand.

They’ve released new products that show a focus on design and functionality, and they’ve modernized their website with an improved shopping experience. They’ve done this while still embracing what makes their brand unique.

You can see that renewed energy in the brand flow into EGGtoberfest. It starts with the website that has a nicer layout that’s easier to understand.

The setup of the event looks better too. They have a clear map with added areas for activities to showcase their products, area restaurants, and added VIP experiences. They also have a different spot for the Kids Zone which is super helpful for families attending the event.

I also like the programming that they added. Obviously, food is going to take center stage, but I like the Insider Stage. It features talks from people at the brand that take you behind the scenes on products and company. Readers of this website will especially like that.

Event Details

The EGGtoberfest website is your source for all things about the event. It takes place on Saturday, October 3rd, at Gwinnett Field from 11 am to 3 pm. VIP is sold out, but General Admission is still available at the time of writing.

Gwinnett Field is a nice minor baseball stadium, which is perfect for an event like this. There’s tons of space to spread out, and naturally, lots of seating.

Big Green Egg enthusiasts line up in tents all along the field and cook delicious food all day that you can sample. You just walk around, eat, drink, and hang out with other people that like doing the same. Even if you’ve never touched a Big Green Egg or any other grill, this is still a fun event.

It’s amazing to see the passion for the brand from the participants and attendees. There aren’t many brands that could pull off an event like this.

If you’re in the market for a new grill, that’s another neat thing about the event. They sell all the Big Green Eggs that were used at the event for a discount. Come for the food, then convince yourself you need a new grill, and leave with an Egg.
