I’ve long been a fan of ThermoWorks products because of their accuracy, durability, and useability. They have a temperature product for anything you’re doing in the backyard or the kitchen.
When I’m cooking on an offset or charcoal grill, I use the Smoke BBQ alarm because of its wireless receiver and simplicity. On longer cooks with other grills, I go with the Signals BBQ alarm because of it’s four probe ports and connected abilities through the ThermoWorks app.
In the kitchen, the ThermoPop works great and is inexpensive. For grilling and double-checking barbecue, I’ve been using the same OG Thermapen for years.
I saw Aaron Franklin use one in his legendary YouTube videos and his books, so I had to get one. The Thermapen is basically a barbecue staple at this point.
ThermoWorks made the Thermapen better when they released the Thermapen ONE that could read temperatures even faster. They’re now going to release the Thermapen Nano, a meat thermometer that raises the bar even more.
It’s due to be released in mid-July and it reads temperature in just 0.4 seconds, so it’s instantaneous. It also is thinner and lighter than the other Thermapens.
It’s not officially on ThermoWorks website yet but Christie Vanover from Girls Can Grill showed it off on their Instagram.
No price has been announced yet that I’ve seen. The Thermapen ONE retails for $115, so I’d expect it to be north of that.
It looks like a solid meat thermometer, just like their trusty Thermapens before it. I’ll have to make some room with all my other ThermoWorks temperature products when it’s released.
