Royal Oak is most known in the outdoor cooking community for their charcoal, but they also sell fire logs under the Pine Mountain brand. They have fire logs that offer different burn lengths and flame quantities.
In an effort to grow that business, they’re consolidating their Birmingham, AL facility into their Greenville, TX facility. To handle the added volume, Royal Oak is building out the facility aided by a tax abatement from the city.

Exhibit B – Royal Oak’s Tax Abatement Agreement
The project in all will cost a projected $10 million in infrastructure, building and equipment across three project phases. The current property, building, and equipment was appraised at about $10.9 million earlier this year, so the investment will double that amount.
To go along with the increases facility size, Royal Oak is also staffing up. They expect to employ an estimated 58 new employees to go along with the 59 existing employees bringing the total headcount to 117.
The City of Greenville incentivized Royal Oak to invest in their facility with a 10-year tax abatement. It’s scheduled to reduce taxes on the added value of the property by 50% a year beginning in 2027.
