Frigidaire’s New Marketing Campaign Aims to Take Pizza Oven Market Share

Kitchen ovens traditionally aren’t great for making pizza. With a max temperature usually around 500 degrees F, they don’t get hot enough for a proper crust.

That problem helped birth the outdoor pizza oven market, followed by indoor electric pizza ovens. Frigidaire, a leader in kitchen appliances, is trying to seize some of that market share with their latest oven that reaches temperatures up to 750 degrees F with a pizza stone.

Indoor electric pizza ovens are relatively expensive kitchen tools. The value proposition on Frigidaire’s new oven is that you can shift that expense into buying their oven, and clear up counterspace. It makes sense, especially for consumers already oven shopping.

To begin introducing their new oven to potential customers, Frigidaire is partnering with comedian Sebastian Maniscalco as part of a comprehensive strategy. It will include digital activations, a live event appearance with Maniscalco, and Frigidaire is taking the oven on the road with the Taste the Difference Mobile Tour.

I’m from Chicago
, grew up in an Italian household…so pizza wasn’t just food, it was tradition. Deep-dish Fridays, my grandma’s Sicilian pies on Sundays…we basically had a pizza calendar. Making it’s like a little dance with the dough—the stretch, the char, the whole craft. And now this oven? Brings that restaurant magic home in minutes. Pizza night’s fast, easy… and I actually get to enjoy it instead of stressing over the oven.

The oven will show off its capabilities at at food festivals and sporting events nationwide. This is in addition to a national ad campaign, retailer pop-ups, media partnerships, and more.

At Frigidaire, we believe the best memories are made around food and with the Stone-Baked Pizza Oven, we’re not just launching a new feature – we’re Daire-ing families to gather, cook, and celebrate together in a whole new, delicious way.

Companies currently offering indoor electric pizza ovens should take notice of Frigidaire’s innovative oven. Not only is it an all-in-one solution, Frigidaire is part of Electrolux, which has north of $12 billion in revenue. That means a large marketing budget to take share of the market.
