Do it Best and True Value, which are part of the same company now, are expanding the top end of their grilling line-up. They’re bringing two brands that are often found in local grill stores to their hardware store partners.
They’ve added Broil King and Napoleon as options for their retailers, which gives them the ability to offer a broader array of grilling options. It also offers a competitive advantage to other hardware retailers.
We already have a strong grilling program, and adding these two new brands takes the product options for our stores to a new level. These new assortments give independent dealers the right products to become the outdoor living destination in their community.
Justin Hanford, VP of Merchandising for True Value
Broil King is a high-quality grill brand that’s headquartered in Canada, but does much of their manufacturing in the USA. They have the full array of grill options from gas grills to pellet grills, Kamado grills, and even cabinet smokers.
They also are at the forefront of innovation with their iQue connected grilling platform. It was launched on some of their gas grills, but it’s also making it’s way to some other unique platforms.
Broil King and Napoleon bring a level of performance, quality, and innovation that lets Do it Best and True Value retailers out-grill their competition. I’m excited to see these grills in action at the Fall Market, then in our retailers’ stores to show off to their customers.

Like Broil King, Napoleon is also headquartered in Canada and makes premium grills. On their gas grills you’ll find nice features like infrared burners and cast aluminum cooking grates. Most recently, they’ve released a new line of griddles and an electric grill with a touchscreen that runs on 220v power.

Together, True Value and Do it Best offer unmatched scale, flexibility, and product choice that empower independent dealers to thrive in their local markets. With this expanded grill portfolio, our retailers are better equipped more than ever to meet customer demand and stand out in a competitive marketplace.
