Woodland Direct has established itself as one of the leading e-commerce companies in the outdoor living space. They’ve serviced over 700,000 customers in the past 20 years and continue to support the needs of professionals across the country.
I usually associate large outdoor living retailers with the coasts and Texas. While most of Woodland Direct’s business is from the coasts, I was surprised to learn that Woodland Direct is located right in my backyard in metro Detroit.
Not only are they located there, they have a huge showroom that any professionals building outdoor living spaces should make an appointment to see. It’s unlike any other showroom in the area, and it’s invaluable for planning, especially in the cold winter months.
Woodland Direct is based out of an office building that they converted a large chunk of the first floor to a showroom, in addition to housing distribution, content creation, and other support roles. They’re a partner with the Detroit Lions, so when you enter their lobby, you’re greeted by a Lions themed fire pit.
Entering into the showroom, they have a bunch of staged outdoor living spaces in addition to some offices for discussions. It’s an ideal environment to experience products that could be used for an outdoor kitchen or outdoor living build.
I was most interested in the outdoor cooking setups and outdoor kitchen cabinetry, of which they had a ton of examples. You’re first greeted with a hybrid grill from American Made Grills that can cook with gas, charcoal, or wood. The high-end grills continue from there as you walk through the space.
On the cooking side they had products from Coyote Outdoor, Summerset, Wildfire, Evo, Primo, and many others. They also had some beautiful cabinetry from different brands like WeatherStrong and NatureKast. In addition to the kitchen builds, they had samples of different options.
In addition to an expansive showroom, they also have a dedicated support team in the building. It was a large team, and I saw them all engaged with customers.
Their customer support team is there for advice before the sale, and most importantly, for support after. They actually have the most NFI certified technicians all under one roof.
