If you’re looking for a pellet grill to take tailgating, recteq has a great option. They released the Road Warrior 340P Rivalry Edition, which brings the features that recteq is known for, with color options to match your favorite team.
Other companies have full sized pellet grills, or tabletop units. What’s nice about the design of the Road Warrior is it’s a decently large pellet grill, but it has a collapsible cart underneath to make it easier to take with you. It collapses down to 23″ high, which is more manageable then lugging around a big pellet grill.

Rivalry Edition
What sets the Rivalry Edition apart from the regular Road Warrior 340P are the new lid colors. You can choose between Bright Orange, Bright Red, Burnt Orange, Garnet, and Navy Blue.

The colors of the lid are a great match for different popular college teams, so it adds to the fun of the grill for tailgating. To get the Rivalry Edition, it’s $50 more than the regular Road Warrior.
Quality Components
Beyond the new lid, the rest of the grill is what you’d expect from a recteq pellet grill. They use more stainless steel than competitors, which is great for longevity. They also use a stainless steel cooking grate, which is my favorite material because of it’s searing and durability.
The temperature range of this pellet grill also sets the bar. You can go low and slow down to 200 degrees F, or crank the heat up for grilling at 700 degrees F. That’s perfect for cooking versatility.
