Clorox reported their Q2 2025 earnings today, which is the quarter that ended in December. While seasonally that’s not usually a big quarter for Kingsford charcoal, it was a major talking point.

Kingsford added a large retailer in December, and they shipped inventory ahead of consumption, which pulled ahead some spending in the quarter. It was to support a Super Bowl promotion that the new retailer was having with Kingsford.
