Oklahoma Joe’s is the go-to brand for traditional smokers and charcoal grills. They have tech focused grills too, but they always stay true to their roots of old school fire, smoke, and barbecue.

Their newly released Laredo line has three different grills and smokers that all stay true to that. They also are value priced to earn a spot in the backyard this summer.

900 Charcoal Grill

The Laredo Series 900 Charcoal Grill is a traditional barrel-style charcoal grill. It retails for $299.99 (check price) and offers lots of cooking space with 916 square inches across two racks.

Even at its competitive price they added some nice features. There’s a removable ash tray for much easier cleaning than traditional barrel-style cookers. The grill also has a quality thermometer on the lid, dampers on the smokestack and side for additional heat control, and front and side shelves for plenty of prep space.

The long barrel shape with a smokestack on the side gives the ability for grilling or for smoking. It’s perfect for different cooking options.

Deluxe Charcoal Grill

One step up from the 900 is the Deluxe Charcoal Grill. It takes what the 900 does and adds a few more features for more versatility.

This grill is a Home Depot exclusive that, despite having more features than the 900, it has the same $299.99 price tag (check price). It trades out the large front shelf for a smaller side shelf because there is extra charcoal control in the front.

The front has a sliding door, so you can add more charcoal or tend to it without removing any cooking grates. It also has a cool feature where you can adjust how close the charcoal is to the cooking grate from the front for more heat control.

The Deluxe adds two more casters to the bottom for easier mobility. Overall, it brings lots of value and outdoor cooking power.

1100 Offset Smoker

For the ultimate in barbecue, an offset smoker is the way to go. Oklahoma Joe’s is one of the only large brands that offers offset smokers and with the Laredo Series they’ve brought another one to market.

It retails for $349.99 (check price) and is perfect for cooking for lots of people. It’s called the 1100 because it has 1,100 square inches of cooking space, which is a ton of space.

The 1100 takes the Laredo 900 and puts a fire box at the end to make it an offset. What’s nice about the fire box is the top opens revealing a cooking grates for grilling.

That’s nice for grilling or searing, plus it adds an access for the fire. It adds to the versatility of the smoker beyond barbecue or grilling in the main body.
