Tractor Supply Gives Opportunity for New Vendors to Present to Buyers

One of the hardest challenges with bringing a new product to market is finding distribution. Initially, companies try DTC, but it can be hard to be seen amongst a sea of other products.

Plus, even large outdoor brands have found growing a DTC business can only get you so far. That’s why brands often turn to wholesale channels to get their product on the floor of brick and mortar stores, or at the very least on a retail channel’s website.

Getting a new product seen by merchandisers is a challenge in itself. Space is limited, and there are no shortage of products in the outdoor cooking space.

To help find products that will resonate with their consumers, and to make it easier for new vendors to navigate the buying process, Tractor Supply has announced its annual “Growing Life Out Here” Open Buying Days event.

Open Buying Days allow us to broaden our reach and discover truly innovative products that either align with our mission to serve Life Out Here or enable us to better deliver upon it. During our previous Growing Life Out Here events, we established invaluable partnerships that are helping us grow and evolve our business. Our merchandising team is eager to see what this year’s vendors bring to the virtual table.

Seth Estep, Chief Merchandising Officer at Tractor Supply

Potential new Tractor Supply vendors can apply to participate in the event until March 2, 2025. If they’re selected, they’ll receive an invitation to present their products virtually to the merchandising team on April 23, 2025. Products will be assessed based on originality, quality, market alignment and potential impact in rural communities.

Prior to applying, vendors should visit Tractor Supply’s website and go visit their stores to get a good understanding of the retailer. Tractor Supply has recently been adding to their grill line-up, and will offer Weber grills at all locations this spring.
