Traeger Settles Lawsuit Alleging Misleading Packaging for Wood Types

Traeger has settled a lawsuit that alleges deceptive packaging related to the species of wood stated on bags of pellets. Traeger has denied all claims of wrongdoing related to the case.

The case dates back to 2019 stemming from when Michael Yates from California bought a bag of pellets that was advertised as being mesquite wood. He alleges that the pellets weren’t mesquite, but were oak and alder wood that had added oils to add mesquite “flavor”. He also a
