Weber announced today they’ll release their fiscal year 2022 and Q4 results on Wednesday, December 14th, 2022. With their earnings release before the market opening, they’ll also host a conference call that should be very eventful.
There has been quite a bit of speculation and rumors, some of which was confirmed, about their financial condition since their last earnings release. Including, whether they have enough cash to make it through the winter.
Their largest shareholder, BDT Capital Partners, made a buyout offer to Weber at the end of October. In their letter they said that Weber had too much leverage to be sustainable. It was said that Weber has since taken on $60 million of additional debt from BDT Capital, independent of what they decide on the acquisition off.
Traeger reported at the beginning of November that they had a 64.2% drop in grill sales. With reports from retailers about price pressure on traditional grills, we’d expect a similar result from Weber.
Needless to say, it should be an exciting call on the 14th. We’ll be listening in to report on the highlights.
