Cooking Like When You Were a Kid on the Coleman 1900 Collection Stove

If you’re looking to cook outdoors and rather than getting the slick, digitally controlled, Portable Charcoal Grill from Masterbuilt or the popular Weber Traveler portable gas grill, you just want an easy camp stove, Coleman has you covered. They’ve released a new line of products that pay tribute to their heritage, which dates back to 1900 when William Coffin Coleman began selling gasoline pressure lamps. The product line, called the Coleman 1900 Collection features coolers, lanterns, flashlights and other outdoor goodies, but this is CookOut News, so we’re going to focus on the camp stove.

Much like Weber with their 70th anniversary grill collection being released this year, Coleman is releasing some cool retro products that celebrate where they’ve been. Upon seeing the 1900 Collection camp stove, it immediately me back to when I was a kid camping with my parents. For meals, they always had a trusty, match lit, Coleman stove out that they were cooking on. On the 1900 Collection stove, you can see design cues from those old stoves, but with updated features (e.g. no more match lighting).

Much quicker than cooking over a fire pit, the camp stoves come equipped with the following features.

  • Retail price of $229.99
  • Removable cast-iron grill grates
  • Heavy-duty latch design so that it stays closed when not in use
  • 2 adjustable burners with 24,000 BTUs of heat
  • Classic wind guard design
  • 3-year limited warranty

The camp stove also has a removeable griddle accessory, so when carrying around a Pit Boss Ultimate Griddle is overkill, this little Coleman stove has you covered.
